Jag skriver ett mail till P:
"Hello P,
Once upon a time...
Yesterday I finished reading a book. A true story with text and mail in original, Swedish author. A women, about my age met a man online. They rapidly became very close. He wrote such wonderful letters. He also called her every day. He was from Birmingham but lived in Toronto and had connections to Gothenburg. He was an engineer and his work included travelling all over the world since he worked on contract. Their relation online evolved. Then he had to go to Aberdeen and was later sent to Mexico (I think or somewhere in South America). He worked on oil platforms with projects. This project was only going to be a short contract and then he would arrive to Gothenburg to meet her. She was looking forward to it. He sent her roses. This was his last contract and then he was planning to retire. And, do you know, the oil platform didn't have Internet. So, he asked her to transfer the money needed for the project to start from his bank account. She was a bit confused and proud that he trusted her so much. And, surprise, she locked the bank account down since she had the wrong IP number. Now he had no money to pay for the equipment and the workers payment. His contact in Aberdeen would sort that out - the main sum, but could she please loan him the rest of the money via a bank transfer, and then the contact in Aberdeen would send all the sum in a check to her address. She was hesitating a bit, but really loved him and had some savings. She agreed to send him the money. She had earlier seen his account and knew that he had a lot of money. After a couple of days the Aberdeen check arrived to her bank-office, and the bank manager told her that this could be illegal. She returned the check to sender. And started googling on his photo. He had other names too. He called and said that he now had had a bad meeting with the stakeholders and was now in detention because of all the troubles and that the contract was not full-filled. The book doesn't end there, but I think I have told you enough to let you guess that she didn't get her money back. She reported this to the Police.
The name of the book is Scam Story written by Eva-Maria Hedin and Eva Alderborn (as co-writer).

"Hello dear, just finished reading your "story" email. Thanks for sharing, I actually found it quite to exhilarating, to say the least, but I'm a bit confused and uncertain as to why you sent it to me?"
Nehej nej...
